PIE PANTRY
by Flavia Crowner
A Sunny Farnum Hometown Cozy
ISBN 0-9700458-9-1 (268 pages) $19.95
Jacket Blurb:
Romance-suspense novelist Sunny Farnum decides
to relocate and get a new lease on life after her car accident which left
her paraplegic. But the move brings about more changes in her life than she
bargained for. She becomes the victim of a series of thefts that leads her
to suspect one of the helpers she must depend on. She then becomes the
not-so-reluctant sleuth, who helps to bring the culprit to justice. But not
before she faces a part of her past life she thought was behind her for
good.
Excerpt:
When the police left, Sunny sat for a minute breathing deeply to relax. She had a lot to think about. She hated the idea of accusing anyone she knew of stealing. The thought sent shivers up her spine. Although she kept her suspicions to herself, they began to resurface like a cat coughing up furballs. What crime did Jake commit to spend time in the penitentiary? She felt Linda was concealing something, but what? Why was Eddie acting weird and mysterious lately? Why did Jayna...?
"Oh, stop. Stop right this minute!" Sunny ordered herself. "This kind of thinking isn't productive," she muttered.
She leaned back in her wheelchair and took another deep breath and exhaled. She cleared her mind for a moment and relaxed. Only to remember Doug Ramtin. Why didn't he recognize her? Had she changed that much over the years? Had he forgotten her completely? How many Sunny Farnums are there? Why...?

Flavia Crowner
is the author of the new "Sunny Farnum Hometown Cozy Series," making a
debut in December with her first novel, Pie Pantry. Flavia is a natural
when it comes to writing from the viewpoint of her wheelchair-bound series
character, Sunny Farnum, who exhibits a humorously snide personality.
Flavia’s writing career suffered a setback when she and her husband were
involved in a near-fatal car accident that left them both paraplegic five years
ago. Writing her first book was a struggle to overcome the many obstacles that
plague most writers. But Flavia also had to overcome the unique problems faced
by handicapped writers, and she has many insights to share.
Flavia’s earliest childhood memories are of telling stories to entertain
her sisters. She also put her creative storytelling talents to good use staying
out of the trouble that her analytic curiosity always seemed to get her into.
Flavia has been an art teacher in a public school. And then worked in a
nursing home in the rehabilitation department. This year Flavia began a new
enterprise, Oraann Books, her custom-designed journals. She uses them to
encourage everyone to write.
Flavia is currently at work on the second novel in the Sunny Farnum Hometown
Cozy Series, Herbal Garden. And Rose Garden Caper will follow.
Flavia also has plans to begin work on an inspirational romance, One More
Dance; a historical romance, A Heart to Serve; and she’s also
putting together a series of children’s stories called Beaver Tales.
Flavia lives in a small town in Michigan, which serves as the setting for her
Hometown Cozy Series. She loves to fish, tend her small garden and care for her
pet parakeets and goldfish, when she’s not busy writing or helping others in
their writing careers.
